Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
We aim to dispatch your goods within 24 hours of you placing the order. Orders are shipped via APC, Citylink and Royal Mail. (Please note - All deliveries require to be signed for).
We Charge £3.95 per consignment, spending over £60 entitles you to free carriage. (A shipping supplement may be applied to particularly heavy orders and furniture, we will email you in these circumstances to confirm)
Please note it is the postal and courier companies who guarantee the delivery time not HDDIRECT as such should on the rare occasion a consignment goes missing time needs to be allowed for investigations to be made, in the case of Royal Mail it can take upto seven working days for us to obtain a copy of a signature for claimed delivery.
HD Direct aim to despatch all UK standard delivery orders within 24-48 hours. International orders are generally received in under 7 days.
Furniture and other special orders may take longer, a delivery date will be confirmed after ordering.
Reasonable allowance should be made for orders made over the weekend and at public holidays.
Please allow up to 30 days for delivery in exceptional circumstances.
Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form. We may send your order in multiple packages. We will endeavour to advise you of this by email prior to dispatch.
All goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over. If no one of that age is at the address when the delivery is attempted the goods will be retained at the nearest local office of the delivery company, in which case the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery.
If you fail to collect the package within the stated time period and the package is returned to us we will consider the order cancelled.
Under these circumstances, prior to making a refund, we will make a charge to cover the post and packing costs of sending the goods to you. An additional postage and packing charge will also be made if you wish the goods to be re-sent.
Please also note that HDDIRECT do not accept responsibility if our courier fails to notify you of an attempted delivery.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
We accept most major credit and debit cards. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. All internet payments are processed securely on our behalf by Worldpay or Paypal dependant on the choice you make.

You have the right to cancel your Order for any reason, up to 7 working days after the day following the delivery of the Product. To take advantage of this guarantee you must obtain a returns number by emailing email@example.com and quote it on the returns form that is enclosed with every order and should be returned with the goods.
Your right to cancel is on the basis that we will be able to re-sell the Products to another customer as new when you return them to us; so please do not use or open any sealed packaging. If a product is not suitable for re-sale, then you shall lose your right to return.
We reserve the right to apply a charge of 15% of the order value on cancelled orders to cover delivery, admin, and handling costs. This also applies to items which are not collected from the post office.

You should enclose a copy of the original invoice. When returning a Product, we recommend that you use recorded delivery.
Please use the original packaging to return a Product. Where this is not suitable, please use packaging of an equivalent quality. Failure to do so, may result in damage to the product which you will be liable for.
You must notify us of any shortage, damage or defect in the Product within 7 days of delivery or you will have been deemed to accept the Product. If the Product is found to be faulty or defective, then we will offer you either a replacement or a full refund where appropriate.
